YokotenHorizontal Deployment

The practice of systematically sharing and replicating improvements horizontally across teams, lines, and plants.

Yokoten ("across everywhere") is the deliberate practice of spreading a successful improvement or lesson from where it was discovered to every other place it applies — other lines, shifts, or sites. It is copy-and-improve, not just copy.

Without yokoten, gains stay trapped as local heroics; with it, one kaizen multiplies across the enterprise. It is a hallmark of a mature continuous-improvement culture.

Put Yokoten into practice

SymplProcess turns these concepts into working models, calculators, and templates your whole team can use — no spreadsheets required.
